CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Side Project To Perform Live In Raleigh

July 12, 2003

LET 'LONES, the new Raleigh, North Carolina-based outfit consisting of three-quarters of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (Woody Weatherman on guitar, Mike Dean on bass and vocals, and Merritt Partridge on drums),will perform live at The Lincoln Theatre (web site) in Raleigh on Thursday, July 24. Opening the show will be instrometallists RISE and Chapel Hill's own DYNAMITE BROS.

When asked to describe LET 'LONES' sound in relation to that of his main band, Dean told BLABBERMOUTH.NET last August, "There are obvious similarities [between LET 'LONES and C.O.C.], because Woody has his signature sound, and the bands share a rhythm section. The difference would be the absence of [C.O.C. guitarist/singer] Pepper [Keenan]'s input. What all that equals, you tell me!"

As reported here last week, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY recently recorded several new tracks in demo form (including a track called "The Unholy"),and are currently taking a break before regrouping to begin work on the band's next CD.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's last studio album, "America's Volume Dealer", was released in 2000 through Sanctuary Records. It was followed a year later by a live CD and DVD, "Live Volume".
